Gregory Bae Bio

 

Gregory Nae è nato a Salt Lake City (USA) nel 1986. Vive e lavora a Chicago.
La produzione artistica di Bae ha riferimenti spazio temporali legati alla geografia dei luoghi;
al tempo; all’Universo in relazione alle leggi che lo governano e ai numeri. L’artista ha una pratica lavorativa basata sul disegno, minuzioso e raffinato, e sulla creazione di opere con oggetti d’uso quotidiano storpiati nel significato. Il suo approccio nei confronti del panorama dell’arte contemporanea è quello del controllo su ciò che circoscrive l’essere umano: Gregory calcola – e cerca di bloccare – i movimenti della terra e del sole; il pianeta come oggetto; le relazioni tra oriente e occidente; le radiazioni cosmologiche e ne osserva i movimenti. Azioni dettate da un ritorno all’ordine razionale della sua mente.
